Pre-construction - final completion

Process

Urban District Developments started with a process that would ensure a consistent product that our clients would be proud of. Following these guidelines allows us to maintain our quality, set expectations, while allowing our clients to understand the overall project process, from inception to completion.

0.1 Inquiry

Each project will have a detailed scope of work created for the client's specific requirements. The project list will be created and then specific details will be added for what will need to be completed in each individual task of the project after the project list is confirmed.

0.2 Site Visit

We will schedule your first site inspection. During this inspection, we will review your renovation project details. This provides us with the opportunity to view your project firsthand. During this meeting measurements will be taken, options will be reviewed, and we will strive to bring your dreams to reality.

0.3 Plans / Drawings

We will work with our team of designers and architects to bring your project to life. Working with these individuals will help plan the process while ensuring details meet your expectations. If you decide to use your own designer or architect we will stand by your side and help review the plans.

0.4 Review

We will schedule a second site visit to review the design and confirm the full project list. We will also bring our skilled and certified electricians, plumbers and H-VAC to review work if drawings are not provided.

0.5 Scope of Work / Quote

Our transparent scope of work exceeds expectations. Providing detail, while allowing clients to understand everything included. Within this proposal, you will be provided with breakdown pricing. This is important for you to understand how we come up with our overall project total.

0.6 Design / Budget Review

We will review the scope of work provided. At this time, we will answer any questions you may have and discuss potential contingencies. If revisions are required, we will provide one complimentary revision to adjust the scope of work as needed.

0.7 Commitment & Deposit

At this stage, you have chosen us to complete your renovation! To proceed, we will require our renovation agreement and terms & conditions to be signed. A deposit cheque will be needed to confirm your commitment.

0.8 Site Meeting

This pre-construction meeting is designed for you to meet with your project manager and be introduced to our skilled trades. During this time we will review the project layout, review over construction timeline, and selections made towards the project.

0.9 Begin Construction

After an extensive planning process, your renovation can now begin. Throughout the renovation, you will have constant communication with Urban District Developments to keep you up to date with the progress of your renovation.

1.0 During Construction

Throughout the construction stage, we will schedule site visits to review progress. Our payment schedule will ensure progress is made before further payments are required throughout the duration of the renovation.

1.1 Project Completion

At the completion of your renovation, there will be a final walk-through. At this time we will review the results of the overall renovation project to ensure your happiness. During this stage, all remaining documentation will be signed and outstanding payments are reconciled.
